MoFlow by Polarpak

Like many of you , my friend, Deena, wants to ride her bike to work. Parking her car and pocketing the savings requires some planning. We began by mapping a bike route and taking a test run. I rode Shawn's road bike, which doesn't have a water bottle holder, so I thought this would be the perfect time to test out the new MOFLOW by Polarpak.

When I first received the MOFLOW from Polarpak ,I was impressed with the idea behind it but I had concerns about its performance while on the trail. According to Polarpak the MOFLOW can hold 70 ounces of liquid. In my tests, I was able to get 62 to 65 ounces of water into the hydration pack. I experimented with different pressures and pumped it up several times, finally going for broke and pumping it until I thought it would burst. The MOFLOW not only handles pressure but can dish it out as well, which leads me to another feature of the MOFLOW. You can use it as a backwoods shower with an added attachment, sold separate.

The MOFLOW fit right into my Camel pack, so for this ride I filed it with about 65 ounces of water, slipped it in the pack and pumped it up. The route we had mapped to Deena's work place was about 9.2 miles, one way. We ran into closed off trails as well road and bridge work. These obstacles added about 45 minutes and three extra miles to the ride. It was a hot, sunny day and I consuming water as if I was a camel about to trek the desert sands. If I had used my bike , which has one 24 ounce bottles I would have ran out of water on the way there. The MOFLOW kept on flowing and pumping water!

On the 8th Mile of our journey, while waiting for traffic to clear, and MNDOT to escort us over the bridge, Deena said that she was out of water. She had brought one 24 ounce bottle, so I was not surprised that she ran out. I used the MOFLOW to refill her bottle and we continued on to her work place arriving there after riding 4 miles more than planned. With empty water bottles but a MOFLOW that was still shelling out water, I was more than pleased with it.

We chatted with some guys who bike to work often, we found a route back avoiding the construction and it seemed as if it would be a shorter distance. We refilled the water bottle and the MOFLOW, re-pressurized the MOFLOW and headed back. Deena and I could not stop talking about how great the MOFLOW is. Deena now wants one, not only to to use while biking but for use in her workplace, as she can not have open containers of liquid in a broadcast control room. Over all, I found the MOFLOW to be the BEST water system I have ever used while biking, in fact I may just be done with water bottles forever! I will be taking the MOFLOW with me on my next five rides to further test this great product out. I will update this journal and bring you more information after i beat it up a little bit.
