Well, its official. Ann Curry, a non-climbing talk show host, has now hit an elevation that is greater than I have seen. My highest point so far at 14,505 feet puts Ann almost 800 feet past my winter climb on Mt. Whitney. Am I jealous? Do I think this is unfair?
Maybe. I'd like to see her go up the last part of the Mountaineers Route in the winter without a rope and carry her own pack. Here is some video from MSNBC.
